A News Blog!

As a child who watches the Christmas tree go up, waits as their gifts are placed under it, and can hardly contain their excitement for Christmas morning, so is the feeling that is coursing through me right now!

Have you ever waited for something specific to happen, but as time marches on you almost give up? That's been me as I've waited to get my next book published. (If you've been a winner of a free book, and you chose to wait until my new one comes out, you may have actually given up.)

BUT I HAVE GREAT NEWS - and since you're on my email list you are the FIRST to know!

My new novel will be out by Spring of 2025! Yes, God-willing, it's really going to happen!

Sometimes God makes us wait, and we may never see, or get to know why. That's exactly how I feel about this publication - as if I've had to wait, and wait ... and wait some more. My plan was to get another book published in 2023, at the latest, but things changed. The writing, however, never stopped, and now I have at least three more stories, and their excited characters, waiting for their turn.

I've done a lot of praying over these manuscripts, and I've decided to move forward with: You Are Amadeus. As I write these words, "Charlotte" is in the lovely hands of the person formatting her story for me. Charlotte is the main character, and I think you'll really love her. She's blind, and mostly sweet, but one year ago a mysterious man moved into the apartment next to hers.

As time moves closer and closer to this novel's release date, I'll tell you more about Charlotte, but until then, know that her time to shine is finally approaching.

As a side-note: did you know that Amadeus means "lover or God" and/or "God's love?" (depending which website for names and their meanings you google).

Today, I'm praising God for sending the right people, with the best advice for how to move forward, at just the right time. I would've preferred this to have happened before Christmas, but that's okay. He's made me wait a little longer, and I know, as I put in more work toward making this novel a reality, that God always has a reason for His perfect timing. He's so good!

If you're in a season of waiting, know that you're not alone. Every one of us must learn to wait - sometimes for years. And it's not easy.

Here are a couple of verses that have sustained me throughout many of my waiting times:

"I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, and in His word do I hope." Psalm 130:5 (NASB1995)

"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)

I'm pretty sure I'll read those often as I wait for Spring.

With Warm Thoughts,

Pattie

🎁🎄 Thanks, yet again, Pattie. Congratulations on the "New Book" Love the title! At a stress-filled time in my life, I too began collecting "Waiting" Bible verses. Here is mine: "The Lord is good to those who wait for him,  to the one who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord." Lamentations 3:25,26
