I’m so happy to be announcing this to you—my email subscribers. You're the first people to get a peak at what's soon to come.
If you’ve read You Are Amadeus you may be waiting to read the sequel. God-willing, Book Two will be released on, or before, Tuesday, October 7th!
(There is a chance that the date will be moved up. If that happens I’ll let you know as soon as I do.)
I’m happy to be sharing these cover images with you today, as well as more detail of what this story is about.
The title is: You Are Artemas, and I’m particularly fond of this novel because it has been the most difficult story I’ve written yet. My husband, Brian, and I have spent much time praying as I’ve typed out this tale.
If I may share openly … I’ve battled with where this volume “fits.” Meaning: non-believers in Jesus probably don’t pick up much Christian Fiction, but I hope some do, and that they read both the novels I now call Amadeus and Artemas. I truly feel that God had me write these for people who need at least one of the messages these books contain.
The world isn’t getting easier. Sin abounds, and people are suffering within it—many with much strife in their backstory. But, as people who’ve been redeemed by God, we know and must share that there’s a way out--a spectacular change-your-life-and-know-freedom-like-you-never-have-before kind of way out!
Two verses that come alive in You Are Artemas:
Ephesians 6:12 (NASB1995) “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NASB1995) “No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.”
That’s a powerful promise, and God keeps His promises! Every. Time.
As well as other elements, this novel is a parallel of how our enemy prowls like a lion, with only one goal: to bring us down. He knows where we're weakest and he will prey on that, but we must remember Who is more powerful!
Because of the adult-content in this novel, themes you should be aware of before reading include: sexual temptation, drug and alcohol use, and anger, as well as: the perfect design of the marriage covenant, redemption, and the unconditional love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ for His children!
As you’ll read in the introduction at the beginning of this book, I believe that if we could fully understand the gravity of what Jesus did for us on that cross, only then would we grasp how whole and complete we are made when we repent and believe.
As you'll read inside the pages of this newest novel, whole and complete is the Hebrew meaning of the name Artemas.
God loves us so much, and He is good!
With Gratefulness,
Pattie

One last thing: if I could ask a favour:
If you've read You Are Amadeus, and you enjoyed it, would you please consider placing a rating/review onto Amazon? You DO NOT need to purchase the book from Amazon to rate and/or review it.
You might wonder why this is important ...
Simply put, the books with the highest numbers of ratings and reviews are "shown" to more people who are scrolling for something to read. This really helps lesser-known authors (such as myself) to (hopefully) have their books seen more often.
To those of you who've rated and/or reviewed any of my novels: a HUGE THANK YOU!! It means more to me than you know.
For those of you who don't choose to rate and/or review: no worries. THANK YOU for reading!
Pattie
(I'm done now. Promise.)
