It’s more frequently come to my attention that people who believe in Jesus Christ are living in fear of what’s happening in the world, and some even tremble from thinking of what’s coming.
I was visiting my sister some years ago, and that was me. Exactly. At the time, I was particularly anxious about something involving the world's affairs, and after whining about it to her, I ended my rant with something like, “I’m so worried about everyone I love—my kids and grandchildren especially. I mean, what’s the world going to be like for them?” Then I lamely added, “I suppose this is what the Bible means when it prophecies the end times and Satan running amuck.”
Without missing a beat, my sister returned this: “You Christians, and your dismal look at life, make me sick! You claim you have the Holy Spirit living inside you, and yet you’re afraid of the evil in the world. Let me ask you this,” she ended. “Who has more power? God or Satan?”
I felt my eyes widen and, like a proverbial brick upside the head, my thinking instantly changed.
Only one thought exploded into my mind, and has sat there since: God holds all the power!
This is the truth! The Almighty, and One True God holds me, and all of those who place their faith in Him!
Do I think Him so small that He can’t overcome whatever happens in our world? I've read the back of the book (Bible), and we win!!
So, let me encourage you if you catch yourself feeling anxious about our world's affairs. If we live in fear of everything that may or may not come, not only do we waste time, but we become completely ineffective in showing God’s love to others. Fear and love don't mesh.
As believers in Jesus, we know and understand authentic joy, hope and love. Through Jesus’ blood,
we are saved! He’s alive and well, and His Holy Spirit lives in us!
That thought is so overwhelming that I can’t stop my tears from falling as I write this.
We are the people with the answer for our aching world. We are the LIVING God’s ambassadors.
From our beginning, until whatever our end, He will never leave us nor forsake us.
Deuteronomy 31:8, and Hebrews 13:5 say Do NOT be afraid!
His promises should afford us ultimate peace.
When we think of who we really belong to—the one and only true God--WOW!!
How do we dare fear anything this world might throw at us? How do we dare shake when we feel the darkness surrounding us? How do we dare think that we won’t stay standing for what we know is true? How do we dare slap the face of God, when He’s the One who lives inside of us!
I’m a person who often stumbles over my thoughts as I try to formulate them into coherent sentences, but God has a promise for that too--especially when questioned about our belief in Jesus Christ.
He promises to give us the right words to say when we need to voice them! Amazing!!

If the Holy Spirit lives in us, He’s got us covered. Completely covered! What incredible power we possess—through Him!
Today, if you’re feeling thwarted with worrisome thoughts about tomorrow, please be encouraged, and rest in the peace from God’s promises. He loves you, He holds you, He’ll give you the right words to say, and HE IS GOOD!
Hebrews 13:6 (NASB1995): "so we confidently say, "The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?"
Psalm 34:19 (NASB1995): "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him (them) out of them all."

On Saturday, August 8th, I will be selling and signing books at the huge WoodsFest Flea Market at Good Spirit WOODS Campground, from 11 AM to 6 PM. This is outside the Good Spirit Provincial Park.
On Saturday, August 22nd, I’ll be at a fundraiser barbecue for the Yorkton Dreamland Centre - 244 Myrtle Ave, Yorkton, SK. All funds collected will go toward replacing the equipment used by the children in the community. Come out and support this worthy cause from 10 AM - 3 PM! It’ll be a great party. Food and Bouncy castles are involved!
On September 12th, I’m tentatively booked to be at the Everything Country Market outside of Neuanlage, SK. This is an all-day market with TONS of merchants. (Time TBA)
On Nov. 20th and 21st, I’m planning to be at the Warman Craft and Bake Sale! (Times TBA)

K.C. Mitchell has written many books, and I recently had the privilege to read the first one in her ‘The Last Safehouse’ series. It’s an action-filled and dramatic suspense/romance that includes raw detail and unashamed references to the safety we have in Christ.

Please pray that I’ll have wisdom in voicing the things God would have me say in these interviews. I'll admit, for someone who talks so much, being interviewed stretches me. These are the times I must remind myself of what God promises in the verses I listed above.
